What data we collect

Quote and contact enquiries

When you use our website quote form or email us, we collect the details you provide. That typically includes name, email address, telephone number, company name, the service you need, your message, and any drawing or file you upload (for example PDF, DXF, DWG, STEP or an image).

Website use

Our hosting provider (Netlify) processes standard technical logs such as IP address, browser type, device information and pages requested, so the site can be delivered securely. If you allow analytics cookies, our website monitor (Dotwall) also records how the site is used - for example pages viewed and approximate location derived from IP address - so we can improve the website.

Business records

If we quote for you or take on work, we keep the information needed to fulfil that work, invoice, and meet accounting and quality records (including ISO-accredited processes).

We do not currently run a marketing newsletter signup on this website.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted providers to run the site and our email:

Netlify - website hosting and delivery of this site.
Resend - sending quote notification and confirmation emails (including a copy to you when you submit the form).
Dotwall - website usage monitoring, only if you accept analytics cookies.
Google - we load fonts from Google Fonts. We also link out to Google Maps and Google Reviews; those sites have their own privacy policies.
Professional advisers, insurers, or regulators where we must share information (for example HMRC or the ICO).

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy regulation.

Cookies

How long we keep data

Quote enquiries that do not become an order: normally up to 24 months, so we can follow up or refer to a previous drawing if you come back.
Customers and completed jobs: for the life of the commercial relationship and then typically six years, to meet tax, accounting and quality-record requirements.
Server and security logs: for a short period as needed to operate and protect the site (usually no more than 12 months unless we must keep them longer to investigate an incident).
Analytics: according to the Dotwall tool’s retention settings, and only while consent remains in place.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

access the personal data we hold about you;
correct inaccurate data;
erase data in certain circumstances;
restrict or object to certain processing;
receive data you provided to us in a portable format (where applicable);
withdraw consent where we rely on consent.
