A recent production run from Witton: heavy-duty roller shutter mounting hardware in galvanised steel. The parts needed to be accurate, repeatable and ready to assemble - plates, folded brackets and channels with a full pattern of holes and slots.
We laser cut the blanks with nitrogen (N2) rather than oxygen. Nitrogen keeps the cut edge clean and bright on coated steel - no burnt edge, less dross, and less dressing before the parts go on to the press brake.
After cutting, the hardware was folded in-house: flanges, U-channels and tray-like plates that add stiffness for shutter mounting. Protective film stayed on through cutting so faces stayed unmarked until they were ready for the customer.
This is the kind of repeat industrial work we do every week - galvanised and zintec sheet, nested on the fibre laser, then formed and packed from one factory. Send a drawing or sample mount and we will quote from Birmingham.
