Parts go on pallets or into branded cartons, then stretch-wrapped and strapped so they travel as they left the workshop. A packing note sits on the load. That is the last step of the same ISO 9001 system that tracks a job from laser to weld.
Whether it is a production run of fabricated products or a one-off, the customer should receive what was signed off - not a scuffed, unmarked pile.
